Basking spot

Hi everyone i noticed the last 48hours my 4month cham hardly leaves his basking spot, and sometimes opens his mouth. I only leaves when he comes done for food.

The bask temp hits around 85-87.
And cool spot hits 70-75. Humidity says between 30-45 and when misted 70-80

Is he ok?

Could you post a picture? My male veiled usually dosent leave the basking spot. The open mouth could be him trying to let some heat off, ir somthing worse like a respitory infection.

He could be ready to shed, Stark become duller when going into shed also. He looks good from the picture.
Thank you for the reply i also checked the infomation about the infection he had none of those symptoms, ive moved his basking spot couple times while he was out of his viv and he keeps his mouth open maybe he just like his mouth open?? He has also got dark so maybe he is ready to shed. He still eats like a pig :))

Opening mouth is probably regulating body temperature... If it's not continuous it's nothing to worry about.
He looks to be doing good from what I can tell on the picture so I would not be worrying to much (even tho you will because most of us do anyways).

Haha thanks im paranoid about him all the time. :)

They also will open there mouth to stretch the skin to get it looser for a shed . If he's getting ready to shed that could be why . There's lots of very experienced keepers here see if they chim in to .
