Bad Return

Hello all!

Well I went on a vacation, and returned today to some bad news. My adult male quadricornis was dead, and was being eaten by ants inside of his cage. The female was sitting on the bottom on the cage, and her eyes were very sunken in, and you could see her bones on her face. I took her outside for a shower, and she drank a lot. She is doing better, but is looking iffy. I think she'll either make it, if not, it may not be long. I am going to give her showers every day, and try to pump some silkworms in her, I am going to order some soon, as all I have are crickets.

How long were you on vacation & who took care of your chams - or in this case didn't take care of your chams?

I am heart broken the you lost him & may lose her.:(

They were taken care of. It was an accident, the person who was watching them was trying to help but goofed up. I am going to try to find a young male so I can have another one. The female was crawling around about half an hour ago, so I'm hoping she'll recover.

Hello all!
Well I forgot to tell everyone this, but the female quad died yesterday. I knew she probably would because she stopped moving, she became black, and she stopped drinking. I put her in a horizontal enclosure that is about 5-6 inches tall, so she couldn't fall, and had a vine in there to let her climb on something. I am not going to get another pair of quadricornis, maybe just something not as challenging so I do not have to worry about anything. I still have 13 Verrucosus eggs and 7 Quadricornis eggs that look awesome.

Thanks for the help and nice words everyone!
