Bad News Guys

How is your cham doing 2day?

Have u been able to find a reptile vet?

I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you and your cham, I know
how I would feel if it happend to one of my guys :(
 
So many chams survive broken bones. Some of them do it without their owners even knowing they were broken until later x-rays for something else show previous breaks. It all depends on the chameleon's will to live, the area(s) broken and how badly broken and other damage caused. If you are going to let the cham decide whether or not to give up, keep lights and humidity regular and up temps just slightly. Increase the calcium and hydration if possible and continue to offer food but limit their ability to climb/fall but put leaves and vines in with them for comfort also.

Freezer is waaaay worse than just letting them die quietly.
Gassing them doesn't work because they breathe too slowly and suffer the effects of the gas for a long time before it kills them.
Blunt force trauma to the head is the best for them unless you do it the right and humane way and take them to the vet and have them put down.
Otherwise, keep them quiet and comfy as possible, leave them alone and let them die.

? Im not trying to start a controversy, im just questioning why your thinking this just happened when clearly in March you suspected the same thing but he was still capable of eating and LIVING? Sorry this happened but if you let something like this go and you dont seek help for your cham when you could have possibly saved him I dont know why your acting surprised. Not trying to put you down or anything but I find it strange that you post this now. Why did you wait this long?

I didnt think that they deleted individual posts I thought they deleted whole threads until earlier yesterday when this happened to me for the first time actually on this specific thread. I wasnt trying to be rude and I didnt use obscenitys I just felt offended that someone would captivate the forum members emotions when the whole thing was a mirage as to what really is going on. Sage if you could please explain as maybe I am wrong for thinking this? Sage please let us know the WHOLE story? You never know it could end up saving a living breathing animals life???

Sorry about that guys, been busy with the lil guy, he survived until today when he finally collapsed and stopped breathing. He had a nice run though :/ Jaglon can you please state your question a bit more specfically? I didn't quite get the question
 
And if you're talking about the old post with the weird side I was just wrong, he had his side normal and all it was no problem, it was just the angle I looked at it made it seem odd, this tragedy didn't relate to the previous question :(
 
I do apologize for not answering, I've been very busy with sage but I'm trying to get a hold of Jaglon to clear it up with him. I believe he thinks this is something for pity but it's not and this is really really serious

I think you are trying to start a controversy. As a new chameleon owner myself, nearly everything my guys does makes me think something is wrong. A few times I have posted here asking questions because I thought something was wrong, when he was actually behaving perfectly normally. If, something were to happen to my cham now, I'd better afraid to post here for advice because of the possibility of being accused of improper care, or someone referring to an irrelevent post some time back. People post here because they want to do best by their animal, at times when specialist care just isn't available, and should therefore, not be attacked.

I am going to have to agree with Lys. I have been following this thread since the incident happened I am sorry to hear about your loss Sage its terrible, but the fact that you were keeping everyone here up to date with what was going on all the way up until the end tells me you were really looking for some advice. it makes me a bit angry to see ppl criticizing :(
