Baby Veiled "Sleeping" During the Day!

I keep notcing my chameleon "sleeping" for short peroids througout the day. He usualy only does it when he is basking, he will just sit and close his eyes, but I do not think he is sleeping cause if you do anything, he opens his eyes back up, but when he sleeps he does not wake for anything!

Is it normal for chams to close their eyes when basking? Does anyones do this?

He will only close his eyes for a few minutes at a time or less, it's never for long periods of time.

He is very active and is never dark or anything, he appears to be in perfect health!
