Baby veiled chameleon

I need help. This is my first time having a chameleon. My brother has a Jackson’s chameleon so he helps as much as he can, but my chameleon recently started closing his right eye here and there. I’m really worried but I can’t afford to take him to the vet right now. I gave him a bath with the shed ease solution and tried to use a Q-tip to swab his eye. There’s no crust and he was using it fine a couple days ago. Now he barely opens it and he puffs the eye out when I swab it. It doesn’t look like anything’s in there. I don’t know what to do I’m really worried and I don’t want him to get worse.

Hi there... Please fill out this form with detail and add pics of the entire enclosure and the cham so we can help you. Do not put the baby in a bath at all or use a qtip on the eye.

  1. The more details you provide the better and more accurate help you will receive.
  2. Photos can be very helpful.

i took him in anyways and was prescribed a safe eye wash and a anti microbial topical. They said nothing is in it and seems to be fine. I’ve been apply them 2X daily and he’s opening it a lot more and walking better
I would advice filling out the form that was posted above for you. Typically they do what your describing when their husbandry is not correct.
