I've decided on the name Lieutenant Kaneski, lol.

Just kidding. I want to name it Kaneski though, so I'm SO CLOSE TO A NAME ARGH.

I bought some new superworms today and the little guy stared at it on my finger for around 10 mins and then walked up and ate 3 small ones :) Bit them right off my hand, he is so cute.

I want to name him something having to do with a brave hearted person. But oh my gosh names are so hard once you make a big deal out of them.

I love the feeling of multiple hand feedings in one day. He's only eaten a total of 5 bugs from my hand.

So happy he is fitting in and getting use to hand feedings.
:)

I know it's such a good feeling. He is a little braveheart.

That's a neat name, I thought you were selling him?

I waaaaaaaas  How can I not get attached? My family is attached slightly to him too..

I thought maybe I could keep him if I don't find someone who a) lives in LA county b) can PICK HIM UP c) provide a good home d) provide adequate $

So I think little cutie is staying with me..

Can't believe i am going to say this... have you looked at a baby name book? Some will even give you the meaning of the name and you can base his name on that. you could name him after a saint like the val kilmer movie. (just saw you have saint in your avatar and don't know meaning behind it, so was going out on a limb there) glad you took him. the jax seem to be kinda delicate.

Sure I've thought of that, but it just seems cheesy :p I wanted his name to be special.

Saint in my avatar is from Saint Jimmy the song.

The jax.. Sure he is delicate but he is the sweetest, bravest little cham ever. He first drank from my hands the second day, and even hand fed the third day (this is the second time he has been hand fed).

I wouldn't exactly say he is super delicate as long as you have correct setup.

It's awesome when your little guy hand-feeds for the first time, isn't it? You gotta keep him, by the way. :)

I knew I did the right thing when I offered to pay for him. I am also glad you did it rather than letting me do it for you, not everyone would. Somehow that makes him more yours and shows your family how very much you care for him. He is a little braveheart and he does belong with you. I think you have his name and just don't know it. He is braveheart, that is how you always refer to him, and the name fits.

Oooooh I know I just have to keep him.

It was very sweet of you to, but I'm glad I came up with exactly 50$ at the right moment then and there, I felt bad about maybe taking your money in the first place, even though it was for a good reason. I did not mention it in previous threads because I thought maybe since you PMed me you wanted to keep it private.

I'm so glad we got to keep him. I was thinking it fits him exactly... He's got the body of a baby lizard and a heart of a lion. He is the fastest adjusting animal I've ever seen, he is still timid but I can tell in those cute little eyes of his he is ready for his life here.

I get so emotional reading these messages knowing that the efforts were worth it. This little guy gets a good life. I promise.

I think Brave Heart fits him.

Brave Heart.

A nickname would save time when typing his name though

It's what I've been saying all along. I never thought of it as a name until now.

I found my chameleons name in the book 20,001 baby names ....

Then two words is it.. The benefit of being the owner and you can change your mind as many times as it takes.:)

I have 4 veiled, 2 T. Montium, and 1 female Jackson..
The only ONE that has a name is my 3 year old Veiled, his name is Randall.

Your at 100% in the naming game.
Good Job!

:p I get personal with all the reptiles. I get attached faster when they have names too

Yeah, I totally understand because I have a frog named Zeus, a turtle named One eye, and out of 30 seahorses over 9 years only named one because of a deformity.
My collection contains 8 seahorses (with 4 babies so total 12) 6 frogs, 7 chameleons, Spotted puffer, 2 adult turtles (5 babies and One Eye), 6 Triops, and 4 large salamanders. Sad that only 2 have names.

Our spotted yellow puffer died, despite me visiting specialized fish forums and stuff. Poor thing.

Sorry to hear about the puffer. Mine has an aquarium all by itself and has been doing great in a marine type environment. (Salt level is 1.023 PPM) To my understanding they are from brackish water and capable of going either way, but end up as adult in Saltwater.
