Baby Jacksons easy feeders

I noticed today feeding three week old jacksons, that they will feed ferociously on 10-12 hour old mantids. Usually, they will eat a couple crix and hydeii and be done. But today, they went crazy buffet style on the mantids. I have never witnessed my babies eating that much or that much activity. Just a possible tip for those who might interested.

Awww, baby Jackson's are so cute - I think you should video them at feeding time so we can see how they love mantids! :D

If it was that easy. When I open to feed them.... CHINESE CLUSTERF@#%!!!!... Still trying to figure out caging, feeding, etc... I got 10 into the large deli cup setups, the rest in kind of rigged in a cage. Trying to make a smart setup today. They hatched a week or two earlier than expected, but definitely needed now. OVERWHELMED!

They hatched? Jackson's are live bearers! Did she catch you unaware, lol? Good luck with them! :D Pics would be fab too! I know they don't sit still much though!

well congrats on the well status of your babies jacks :)

Technically, they would be Carl's. He shipped the pair to me a while back and she had retained a clutch. He and 'her' did all the actual work. I just removed them from the cage and started to raise. All 9 are seem far more active and healthier than previous ones, though. Very appreciative of that. Always start with good dna when it come to jacksons. Again, thank you Carl.
