Baby Elly and Her Mom & Dad Photos

My precious baby Elly was 8 months old yesterday. I was out of town all weekend but these pictures were made a couple of weeks ago. I did weight her when I got home and she's up to 48.2 grams. Eight days ago she was 44.1. She's active and eating well and I am so pleased. For those of you that don't know Elly's story she was the only preemie to survive my Luie and Camille 6 month retained clutch. She was so weak I had to get her out of the egg. She sat around for weeks closing her eyes and kept her umbilical cord for weeks. I finally started putting her outside, since it was the first of November it wasn't too hot and I'd move her all around the yard to keep her temps at 80. I do believe the artificial UVB was too strong for her and bothered her eyes because she started improving outside. She's doing GREAT now other than still being small for an 8 month old.

Here’s Elly at 2 days old not even a gram. That's a shish-kabob stick she's sitting on.

Here she is at 17 days old. Look how big a fruit fly looks on her nose. Also you can see her umbilical cord.

she's a beauty, they all are! are you going to breed them again? it would be a shame not to... such great looking veileds, they have so much color you'd sware they crossed with panthers!

Thank you both for your kind words. Phil, Luie and Camille are too old to breed any more. They are both still doing well but wouldn't risk anything happening to either. Camille was 3 in March and Luie was 4 in April.

Jann the whole crew looks beautiful as always! So much color! It is amazing how far Elly has come. She is such a cutie!!!

Thanks Hoj and Carol. For a long time I worried that Elly might not make it but now she seems fine. I am so happy. :D

Oh I see, well at lest they have some offspring running around (i've seen a few members post pic's of the "kids" and they all look great). they still look great for ol' timers :p but I can understand not wanting to risk there health.

Aww Jann Elly is growing into such a gorgeous girl! I didnt think she would ever grow lol

Luie and Camille look amazing hard to believe they are 3 and 4! Its obvious the love and care put into all of your chameleons.

awwwweee Jann, you know i'm partial!!!!! Stanleys little sister is just a doll!!!!!! glad she's doing sooo well!!!!!!!! :)

She looks SOOO good and so healthy! It's hard to believe that she was so little and so touch-and-go in the early months. I'm still glad that you got to keep one of the babies after all, it was criminal for everyone to have gotten little Luie and Camille babies except you, who took such great care of them at the start of their lives.

And her parents look awesome as well, but what's new :D They always look gorgeous.

What a beautiful little girl and gorgeous parents. The pic of Elly with the fruitfly on her nose is just priceless....so adorable :D
