B. thieli

Just thought I'd post some photos of a few of my B. thieli. You'll have to forgive the overall lack of quality in the photos, they were taken through glass at close range amongst their foliage so I was having difficulty.

I caught these two in the act and took these photos after they had seperated but were still next to eachother:

Brookesia shoot their tongues so fast, its unreal. I've got a ton of full extension tongue shots of other chams but the Brookesia are difficult to catch at the right momment. I also love how Brookesia flip their lips when they chew their prey. Their red mouths are great too!

Hope you enjoyed the pics. My WC males were all in impossible places to get photos so next time for them.

there camo is amazing they blend in so well except fore there moth, i have heard that on some species there mouth is black or earthy tones is this true?

Nice pics Chris – didn’t realize they turned their lips out as they eat. I need to take some good pics of my thieli. I never see them eat let alone move, they are laziest critters I own.

Those CBs I sent you are looking really nice - along with WC’s.

Tom,

They aren't the only species. I can't remember if all the Brookesia do it but here is an old pic of my B. perarmata feeding where you can see they do it as well:
