i've also weighed my vwestern two horned, and for those who monitor and keep kinyongias, is 32g a suitable weight for a male roughly 4.5-5'' snout to vent? i know western two horns dont eat too much, but should i offer him more fatty insects to beef him up? he has came a very long way, and i am willing to upload fresh taken pics today.

He definitely looks 100 times better than when you first got him!!! Great job on getting him back up to par!

He does kinda look a little beefier in the second update. However, it could be the pics. What is your feeding schedule, how much and what of. At this point I would keep doing what you are doing. He has gone quite a long way already and I dont think there is any sense in feeding him fatty foods such as wax worms to get him to gain weight quickly. He probably could use a couple more grams though.

thanks so much cain. through the forums here i was able to try a number of safe and natural ways to get him good, as you seen in the update, he was in no way able to use his tounge, and in the care of him being captive here, that is his biggest achievement.

i have started to feed him every other day. plain calcium every feeding, d3 and vitamin 1-2x. his favorite is superworms, but i have no given those to him in a couple feedings. although he loves supers more then crickets, i try and keep and am continuing to try and have crickets the staple. he eats the ocassional hornworm, but hates silks. the only thing he cup feeds as well are wax worms and meal worms, which i give to him here and there, about 3-4 and that is all he gets untill next feeding. he doesnt eat much when it comes to crickets though, maybe 3-4 and hes done (which i've read is normal) these guys dont have too big of appetites.

he is wc, and has been tested for parasites when i first got him, and he tested negative. i will be starting a treatment to both of my chams with panacure regardless.

He certainly looks alot better now!
I'd say that 32 grams is still rather light, but I suspect that it's better for him not to just quickly put alot of fat on.
Since he is recovering from what was near starvation, do you really think it's wise to do a Panacur treatment before his body has fully recovered?

i've had him 4 months now and panacure is totaly safe, it is not a constant treatment. the vet has to treat my girlfriends fischeri and said it is totally benificial to do all of our chameleons regardless if they have worms or not. and he started his treatment today with a 21 day perscription of baytril.

the panacure is once every 2 weeks with 4 oral intakes. so all together is 4 times in 8 weeks. i think it'd be perfectly fine.

Sounds like Panacur is one of the "gentler" medications.
I didn't read carefully enough to see that he has been in your care since June.
Just curious as to why he needs Baytril--or is that for your gf's cham?
