Awabuki Viburnum branches, yay or nay?

Took me a while to figure out what this thing was called. The area I live in went cut happy on all trees around here and all they left me are some Awabuki Viburnums. At least in the immediate area. Anyone know anything about these? If they're safe to use as a branch source?

I think they are okay to use. It's not one that has come up on the Forum recently at least. I don't see anything about toxicity issues for pets with a quick internet search. If you snap a branch, does it ooze any sticky or milky sap? That would be my only worry, but you do have time to let any branches dry out.

I did a search too. Nothing about it being dangerous to us or other animals. I haven't cut it yet so I I'll see about any ooze.

Sometimes I think I'm being way too careful but the possible alternative is not worth it. ;)

Edit: No ooze coming out of this branch. Clean and green.
