Average life expectancy?

What is the average life expectancy of a cage born & bread chameleon?

I'm sure the answer is different for one "breed" to another so I'll ask about the more common ones and the one(s) I happen to have...Veiled and Panther??

5-8 on average.. 8 is under extemely good husbandry

i was told today by my vet that female veiled 2-4 yrs and male veiled 4-6yrs. again all depends on the care but this is a guestimate with the correct care

I think it is all dependent upon care and genetics. Cami hit a year old, and seemed to go down a little in health. She came from PetSmart, and was in a terrible situation with probably some not-so-good genetics. Sol just hit 1, and is doing awesome. He was purchased from a reptile breeder at a show, who had both parents on site with her. Genetics and husbandry are all so important, I am praying Cami lives past 2, and I know Sol will last for a long time!
