So some people will remember I posted this photo about the ferret cage I'll be using for my new cham. I just took it apart to disinfect all the parts, and before I put it back together I was wondering if the entire cage might be too large for a young cham. I'll be wrapping it in mesh, so it's not the bar size that's an issue.
I've never paid too much attention to the cham sizes at shows because I couldn't afford one at the time, so it was better to avoid the tempation lol. So now I'm not sure if they're big enough to go into a cage this large or if they will benefit from being confined to the top half for now.
But then it's probably better to start off with a young cham, right? So it'll get used to you. So I'm thinking I am better off to close off the top half? I think the actual cage space (without the bottom part) is maybe 3-4 feet? The whole cage is almost as tall as I am.
Thank you for any imput! I need to get the cage ready before next weekend (Daytonaaa) and my new pet>
