i got one just a day or two ago so i dont have to worry when im not around. but im haveing some trubble figureing it out. it tells me to push down tabs and whatever. i followed the directions and it just does whatever it wants. im putting the type i have. if someone knows witch tabs to push in order for it to turn on at 10am and off at 10pm id be super happy. thankyou so much!

it looks like this expect 2 knobs and 8 outlets. mine is a zilla. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=6016+6028+11304&pcatid=11304

have you read the instructions on that page under more info? seems fairly easy. do you have your lights or whatever plugged into the right color outlet? there are 2 set so that would be an easy mistake to make.

if you just bought it and are only using it for lights i would just take it back and get like a 5 dollar timer from walmart or something. thats what ive been using and you cant really get anymore simple. even when i had a reef i just used 2 separate cheap timers.

im thinking about replacing my light timer with a digital one so i can have a little more precision though. i really like having a clock built in that doesnt stop when it gets unplugged.

whoops. didnt realize you didnt actually have that one.. i guess ill have to try and find the one you do have...

eh. after having looked at the zilla one is basically the same thing. make sure its plugged into the right color/ that you are setting the correct time on the tabs.

i dont know how to work the tabs. thats what i need to know. what ones do i push down for it to turn on at 10am and off at 10pm :( i messed with it for hours and its makeing me feel dumb.

if you take a picture of the dial for me ill try and explain it.

usually there are little arrows and you push them down and move them around. id have to see the dial to tell you though.

i kind of get it but honestly i can't really rephrase their instructions much better.

are the THESE the instructions you got?

i'd have to agree for the most part. if you dont need both timers i would consider getting a different timer and a power strip.. sorry i couldnt help too much, if i were there in person id be able to do it but unfortunately im not. bleh.
