ate out of my hand

Well, Sméagol finally ate out of my hand, which is progress, but he really likes mealworms and hardly eats any crickets,but seems to be doing fine with that. Any input on this would be great,thx.
 
Congratulations! That's such a great feeling when they start to trust you like that. Careful with mealworms, they're pretty tough for chams to digest. Have you tried out Superworms? They still aren't a very good staple food, but a little easier to digest. Also, Dubia Roaches are a wonderful staple feeder if you haven't given those a try yet.
 
Great job - it's one of the best feelings in the world, isn't it? Try some hornworms, or some butterworms as well as silkworms for variety. Meal worms aren't that great, as mentioned above, but supers aren't bad at all. Also, the worms are much easier to hand-feed! Keep up the good work :D
 
Thanks for all the advice. That's what I love about this forum, such helpful people with lots of experience to back it up.
