Here i am again bugging everyone for help with my behavioral project.
I am going to study my chameleon for 2 hours per day one in a morning one on an evening for ten hours in total.
The aim of my study is to observe the natural colour change in relation to Behavior, to look into why they are changing colour. for example when they are basking why are they a certain colour, when they are eating why are they a certain colour etc ect.
To help define behavior I need to do an ethogram where i define the natural behaviors into say 5 or 6 behaviors for ease of study, i.e basking, resting, eating, walking.
But the trouble is although there is research on general chameleon behavior it always says the same thing like they use color in communication and for basking. but i cant find anything on there day to day natural color change or there day to day natural behaviours?
I know there's a new book coming out called the biology of the chameleon but it is not yet out and i could buy the ebook but its 30 pounds and i wouldn't be able to sell it after and i would only really get it to help my study.
Can anyone suggest a book or online journal that looks at the day to day behavior and color change in chameleons?
