Thank you! I actually just finished reading that and am now listening to all of the parasite episodes on the Chameleon Academy podcast.

I did get the poop in for a fecal test with my vet before they closed for the day. I should know more by Friday or Monday but I am low key freaking out because that seems like a LOT of eggs if it is a parasite.

My extremely uneducated guess is that they may be roundworm or tapeworms?

The interesting thing is this is the first time I’ve seen anything like this in his poop and he was tested for parasites last week and nothing came up. We will see what my vet says. I guess all I can do is wait.

What have you been feeding him? By chance have you been giving anything like silk moths or another insect that lays eggs that look like those?

Hahahah @MissSkittles, I just looked up eggs from a silk moth. That’s exactly what they look like! Oh man I really hope I just sent off a fecal test for no reason!!!

I have a ton of silk moths right now making eggs, so that was the first thing to come to mind that they look like. Hoping that’s what they are. When freshly laid, the eggs are very light cream colored and if fertile, darken in a few days.

Oh how funny. That is absolutely what they looked like. I didn’t see any brown eggs just cream colored ones.

If they hadn’t been laid, I would think they’d be lighter/white. It’s interesting that the silk moths will lay infertile eggs even if they don’t mate - just like chameleons. Lol

There aren't any parasite eggs that I know of that are visible to the naked eye. Definitely none found in chameleons. Silkworm eggs however...

I am so grateful for the forum! I still have SO much to learn, and everything new still freaks me out. It's nice to know that others have more knowledge and experience than me and are willing to take time out of their day to help me out!
