Anyone else have this feeling?

Hello! I have been keeping chameleons for a while now and I am always getting these self doubtful feelings and just anxious about losing this hobby. Does anyone else get this feeling? I haven’t stop caring for any of my chameleons. I still engage in chameleon activities, but this feeling is very uncomfortable and it is very convincing.

I think that they're anxious of losing interest in chameleon care, while still having chameleons to care for, and that it might lead to neglect if their interest lessens.
I can understand it as I have a similar worry of if life around me will get too busy and if I will start slacking because of it. It seems like an easy rabbit hole to get lost in, especially predisposed to anxiety.
The most important thing with unwanted thoughts is to accept that they are there, and that they don't define you for having them, nor are they a premonition. The brain just finds it fun to give you "worst case scenarios" to dread over for some reason.

Keeping chameleons in itself is cause for all sorts of anxiety. I’m not sure (you don’t specify) where your exact anxiety is, but the answer for almost all is that you are not alone and can reach out for help in various places. There are counselors for personal issues. If you are unsure about your husbandry, you’re in the right place. If for whatever reason, you need to rehome your animals, this also may be the right place or we can help you find other resources.
As with all things, we go day by day and step by step. Everyone has their struggles and it’s okay to need and ask for help.
