Ants

I've dealt with ants bothering my reptiles for decades. Luckily where I live I only have to deal with some mutated evil black ants that are really not a huge issue. Way back when the internet was not even around I had to deal with some red ants once in while and they would litterally go after the animals too besides uneaten feeders.

When the hot weather hits every year they head inside the house and look for water.

So I had a thought and realized, why not ask the forum?

I personally use and love the Terro liquid ant traps.

Here is Florida we get the little sugar ants every now and then and I use the
Terro liquid drops in places that I'm absolutely positive that my pets can't get to.

Salt lines like you're trying to keep out demons, fill up cracks and things with it and then seal it up with some hot glue. Chalk, ground black pepper, and a few other things repel the ants, but there are other things you could try that will attract and then kill them that shouldn't bother your pets.
