Well I posted a blog yesterday about a plant that I bought and was told that it wasnt going to do good in my enclosure... well today I went to the store and bought what I thought was a ficus...I looked at the pictures on the poster and picked the tree that looked like it.. now that I am home and looking at other pictures I dont think that it is what I bought. I am going to try to take a picture, but my camera is dead.... Ill try to describe it..
it is somewhat set up like a bush tree... the branches start very close to the base and there are lots of tear shaped leaves on it. The leaves are about 2 inches long and about one inch across at the largest width. The inner part of the leaf is a darker green with a lighter greenish/yellow edging. Does anyone know what I am talking about? And if it is safe for me to put into my cage??? Thanks!

There are a few different breeds of ficus, some have shiny leaves some dont, etc. The idea is that the plant is non toxic, there are loads of safe plants you dont have to go with what everybody says will work. Plants can get expensive, and high maintenance! I would just open up the phone book and call a few nurseries, it will cut down on the footwork!

Actually, I think I was looking at the wrong picture... I think that it is a ficus... anyone able to confirm?? Thanks!
