I would take her to the vet tomorrow as well. I don't think a regular vet would be open tomorrow you may need to take her to a 24 hr vet. Check what is open and available tomorrow. Good luck!
Oh, no! That is such sad news, just as she was doing so much better too! Try and move her to a smaller cage with less things to climb to restrict her movement until you can get her to a vet. Good luck with her. Hang in there - you've helped her once and you can do it again. Sending hugs and support.
i took one picture of her last night before my boyfriend said, don't take pictures of her right now, shes probably in alot of pain. then i realized, ya, i wouldn't want pictures taken of me when i break a leg.
she was just holding it at a really aquard angle. you can't tell in this picture, but you can see her colors. and i've never seen these colors on her. and how mad she was and she wouldn't let me touch her. Now i'm thinking maybe she was just scared and didn't realize where she was or what happened.
its so crazy. i even got a second opinion from my boyfriend about her leg and the angle it was it. we were sure it was broken.
and she had her eyes closed and all sucked it. oh man am i glad its not broken
now i know shes not ready for the bigger cage i'm building her
and her current cage its getting made over today
thank you all for your kind words and all of the help.
-Nick i'm going to write down that information and keep it handy, thank you!
That is such good news! Maybe she just twisted it or sprained it. What relief you must be feeling right now! Amy shows those colours when she's mad about something. Annie certainly doesn't look too happy, but at least she didn't break her leg. I would still restrict the amount of climbing she can do though for the moment. Did you book a vet visit anyway? It may be worth getting her a check up just to be sure that she hasn't done any lasting damage.
Wow great news for sure! What a horrible feeling it must have been all night hoping she was going to be okay. I have never had a cham. break their leg. I heard of chams taking high falls and landing on their backs and dying but never had dealt w/ it first hand thank goodness. Good Luck and take care.
ya it was her right ankle i was so worried about, but its okay. the angle she had it at was bizzar. her arms are okay though. i'll try to find a picture for you.
