Angry Oustalets

i know that unfiltered sunlight can effect a reptiles behavior...but how about just being in a window with no unfiltered sunlight....i had my oustalets in his ficus tree in a closed window area and he is being very different..his color is awesome and he is trying to bite and hissing like crazy , has amyone else noticed that reaction to unfiltered sunlight

no not really ..if im not close to him , he is calm and just normal...but when i approach him he is much more aggresive than normal...in his cage he doesnt react that way ,,,

When i take ester outside he acts like this as well. I think they juts want you to let them have their real sunlight.........think about it im sure real sunlight feels much much nicer than bulb light!

Could he be overheating at all? - Closed windows do in fact filter sunlight (the good uv doesn't come through) and, while chams do seem to like window basking, they can get a bit warm. I would like to think my lizard has the sense to move along when he starts getting too warm (he's free range, and can walk half a foot and no longer be in the direct sun), but he sometimes gives me evidence that he doesn't really have this sense.

i thought that too..but the temp read 81 degrees

Clyde gets really flared and pissy with me when i let him climb on the valance around the windows, but he is above the window and gets no heat or sunlight from being there, i think he just gets a little full of himself when he is 7-8ft in the air and he can look down at me for once (im 6'4"). My friends get the same way...
