Ambilobes!

When I bought Thaxter, in 2005, I had begin noticing Ambilobes for sale maybe half a year or a year earlier. I believe his parents were WC, and Ambilobes were fetching a somewhat higher price due to their comparative rarity (vs., e.g., Nosy Be and Ambanja). Now it seems that 3 out of every 4 panthers I see being sold are Ambilobes and they're everywhere. Am I correct in observing something of an Ambilobe explosion after the past couple years? And, if so, can anybody explain it?

i guess the cham just got more popular and ambilobes have so much color diffrences that they became the hot topic....just a guess though

probably because breeders saw the demand and started breeding. The ambilobe female can lay up to 30 - 40 eggs per clutch so if a breeder took good care of the eggs they could introduce 30 or 40 new ambilobes to the marked within a 8 month period. thats just my thought.

So can ambanjas and nosy be's though. I think it was the colors :) some of them are like rainbows!

Oops, old thread...

Who knows really is my guess. I believe maybe it had to do with the supply of them as someone said that they just exploded in sales. I think though that it has to do more with the colors and preference of what everyone wanted. There colorful and gorgeous!!!

The more something is desired, the more the producers strive to get it to the consumer. For whatever reason, Ambilobes are more desireable to many, so they have been mass produced.
