Always dark

i have a female veiled chameleon, close to a year old. She was with me but about a month & a half ago I moved her to my boyfriends house due to college & being unable to bring her. She is still very well taken care of. I also can see her when i come home some weekends. She has everything she needs, well fed lots of treats. Many vines & laying bin for when she eventually needs it. However, she is always dark colored now (which obviously doesn't really mean she's too happy). Even when holding her & giving her a treat she's dark. She was bright green with pretty blues & orange even after we moved her (which wasn't a very long ways to travel) but for a few weeks she has just been very dark. Can I get any help?

The pretty orange and blue colors means she was receptive. Can you get a picture of her dark colors now? And a picture of her cage?

Yes I know about the orange and blue. We've given her a deep bin with the right sand and such. Hold on, I'll post a picture !

Why do you have a red light? Do you keep it on at night? Do you have a uvb? She needs more perches, a lot more. She also needs more foliage. There is too much open space, being in a new place and not having enough places to hide is not good.

The red is a heat lamp, it's all turned off at night. & yes she has uv lights. I just moved some vines around after reading this in her cage, moved some of the leaves, & also put some perches higher up. I made less open space. I left her alone for a while, just checked on her & she is brighter green like she use to be. I'm hoping it lasts but she is using the different & higher perches a lot. Thanks so much !
