I'm kind of happy about this.
My veiled chameleon (now about 5 1/2-6 mo) saw me with the spray bottle at the front of the cage and RAN down the vines to the door and when I opened the door he walked on the little lower door (he had drank well today too). I tried to gently hold him like the tutorials on screameleons but he hissed and then turned around and slowly walked back into the cage.
I think he may be starting to tolerate me a little more though
I was so sad because I thought he would HAAATE me forever, but apparently not.
Before he would take 10 minutes or so (while I was far away from him across the room) to even consider walking out the cage while I was watching him, but this time he ran.
I think he's just afraid of my gardening gloves though.
Minimal stress spots this time. Only for about 20 secs.
I think he just really wants to explore minus the handling though. But at least he is getting less scared of me being right there.
