Today is the second day for Sonny, my 7 month old Ambilobe, in his new cage. It is the large cage from LLLReptile, 48x28x28 I think are the dimensions. It is furnished with a ficus, an umbrella plant, and a vine. I'm going to the store today to pick up some more climbing instruments for him.
Anyway, I just wanted to ask if chameleons have a few days of adjusting time to the new cage. I only ask because he hasn't really eaten - cup fed or free range - since getting into the cage. He has just kind of been semi-hiding. I'd imagine he'll get comfortable pretty soon, but I'd rather ask and ere on the side of caution.
He has a dripper up top and I mist him 3 or 4 times per day pretty heavily. As soon as I can buy a Mist King, I'm going that route. Habba Mist sucks! The temps are pretty good. I'm using the same 60 watt day bulb that he had for his baby cage, but I'm not sure if that is big enough for him because of the size of the new cage. What does anyone think about that? Going from a 60 watt to a 75?
Thanks for looking and thanks in advance for your help!
