Absolutely horrible!!

I usually am not one to get too worked up over seeing animals at shops that are not kept well. It does bother me, but I have to force myself to just walk away.

Well today is different. My wife and I were in downtown San Diego this am and decided to get lunch near the sports arena. Well across the way was P.t K.....m, so I decided to check it out, never been there before, and needed some bulbs. I know that buying animals to save them only supports there efforts but I am considering trying to make some space for an adult male Nosy Be that is a cage the same size that I keep babies in. And to top that off he has an eye infection that looks horrible. He has been in this cage for over a year. I think he is WC but the kid at the shop swore he is CB. He has great colors and looks like he eats well.... But how sad to keep him it that tiny cage. My wife had to grab me and push me out. If anyone has room, this guy deserves a home!!! I only wish I could help him!!

Thats lame. I have always been told they take good care of their salt water critters I would expect the same with their reptiles.

If he has been there a while can you talk them down to 0 or close to it? Explain the vet bills for the eye infection, that should help. Good luck

I've seen that animal. He is lovely. I was sort of hoping that that was his "day" cage and he spent the rest of this time in something larger. I believe their reptile sales include a vet check opportunity. You might ask if their vet is going to treat that eye infection at no cost to you. That store has a lot of "fake experts" working reptiles. I was told in no uncertain terms that chameleons cannot eat super worms but absolutely should have cup after cup of meal worms.

They're really good with the small mammals though and it's obvious they do well with tortoises. Plus, what other store has a chicken running around?
