A little experiment....

There was a thread on here awhile back about millipedes and them being toxic if a chameleon ate one. I had them in my cage too(using a bag of dirt that was outside- dumb) and have since revamped the whole thing. So today I found this big millipede cruisin on the floor of my house and a little one too! Not sure where they came from! Anyways, I wanted to see if I fed to the wild Anoles if they would reject it or eat it. Well, I threw these things down and about 5 came running for their free meal!. Everyone of them grabbed it and dropped it!I guess they were smart enough to know! OMG They smell awful!!! Moral is: Don't feed them to your chameleons!!!(Not that any of you probably would) A couple of pics:

I think the thread was about Milipeds, not centipedes.

And thoes are infact Milies (2 different kinda too, from your pix)

2 different kinds

The edited pic i did sown the 2 different kinds you have.. 1 (or 2 broken segments) in RED and another in BLUE!

lol! Thank you for the color coding!!! I am not that technical!!! Now to figure out where these dang things came from. I thought I had solved the problem in my cage. Now its got me wondering.... Going to take the whole cage back outside again and dismantle it for a second time!!!.

You should have caught the Anoles and kept them for a few days to see if they had any ill effects.

I assume a Cham would do the same. Grab it , taste nasty, drop!

:-(

:) Haaa that last picture looks like the poor lil fella was thinking "you fed me that trash! I will get you in your sleep!"
