A basket for my cham to lay eggs

Hey people.

I wonder if someone can help me, yo tell me how I must setup a bask for my cham to lay eggs. I don't have a clue how it must be, the temp there, the type of soil, nothing.

Please help!!!!!!!

You need an opaque container at least 12" deep x 12" x 8" filled almost full of moistened washed playsand. If you put this in the cage and leave it there she will have a place to dig when she needs to lay eggs. She can be moved to a bigger container when she is intent on digging.

How do I sex my cham? As far as I know they told me it is a Female, but just want to make sure please? I can post pictures also

i use a 3 gallon paint bucket that you can buy at a hardware store for a couple bucks. i fill this 3/4 the way with washed play sand like kinyonga stated.

Can someone please tell me what is the symptoms if she has eggs, because i did put her in her buchet with sand, but she wants nothing to do with it, she just wants to get out of there. I am just trying to eliminate all possible reasons why she isn't been eating for a week and two days now, can the winter have something to do with it?

If you put the bucket in her cage, she will use it when she's ready/needs to. This way you don't have to watch for signs. The signs of getting ready to lay eggs can be roaming the cage looking for a place to lay them, drinking more water, looking rounder in the body, and maybe eating less.

If she is ready to lay eggs she needs peace...don't let her see you watching her when she's digging....do not move her back and forth from one place to another.
