I use the bottom of a 1 gallon plastic jug placed below and in view of the basking area (about a 1/3 of the height of the enclosure from the bottom) and out of the way of misters or drippers (don't want that dust washing off). It provides:
1. Room for prey items to roam
2. Easy viewing for cham.
3. Easy viewing for you to inventory remaining prey items.
Trying different prey items offers many benefits including nutrition and variety, as well as the chance for your cham to hone it's hunting skills. You'd get sick of eating the same kibble everyday, they do too.
