So, For those of you who know I got Kermit, my male hoe on friday, probably also know I have been free ranging him
Yesterday evening, I got home from work, and Kermit was gone!
Kink, my 9 month old veiled was sitting on the wire of Kermits UVB bulb and Kermit was no where to be found!
I search high and low, in every nook and cranny a 5 month old hoe could get into.
I place vines everywhere, food out, and hoped hed come out today to bask.
Got home from work, still no Kermit.
All I can think is that Kink ate him?!?! Even though their free ranges are across the room frm each other, kink was near Kermits plants yesterday!
I have been freaking out, and even skipped my grad school class to try to find him.
I had pretty much given up, not sure what else to do.. when I sit down to watch tv. (in my living room, 20 feet down the hall from cham room).
Suddenly, my dog becomes interested in the cables behind my tv.
Wanna guess who was there!?!?!??!
Kermit, safe and sound, all be it cold!
He must have fallen off his free range, crawled the 9 feet to the room door, crawled UNDER the door, walked down the 20 someodd feet of hall way, past the cat (who is a great mouser), past the 9 month old setter puppy, and climbed up the tv cables!
He is now in a cage and will stay there till he gets much bigger and will be easier found when he escapes. He will free range again, under CLOSE supervision until much bigger!
Heart attack over!
Note to others- hoes are sneaky!!!!!!!
