I don't think they should sleep during the day, I would suggest to change your compact uv light for a linear one, bec. is a fact that compact uv can cause blindness with chameleons.

Hi, what everyone is mentioned are right, def. MBD, hope in early stage. One thing I haven't seen anyone to suggest about your setup, I think 23 degrees is way too cold for a yemen chameleon, they need around 30~32 degrees at the basking area. Do you use any thermostat to controll the temperature?

If you can please buy a thermostat that will control your vivarium day/night temperature.

If you can add a few live plants to your setup(make sure they are non toxic) they can help increase the humanity level which is very low.
