Hey guys,
I was wondering if a tank with a depth of 12" is too narrow for a rudis chameleon. Being that they are a smaller species, I figured it might be ok, but just wanted some other peoples opinions.
Thanks
Hey guys,
I was wondering if it is fine to flip flop the lights for my cham; instead of them going on during the day, they come on at night.
I work and am at school during the day and never really have the time to enjoy my specimen. Would it be best to do a gradual transition? Is there...
Gosh, those red rudis chameleons are so awesome! I'd really like to get one, but the fact that they're wild caught has me a little skeptical about what kinda condition they're in...
Anyways, great cham! Any plans to breed?
Hey guys,
Long time no post, but now I have some spare time on my hands again and am thinking of a new chameleon... I have chameleon experience already, and was just wondering what is your favorite species of chameleon to work with?
Mine: Panther chameleons. Out of my price range now, but...
I noticed the same in my tree frog cage. Its ABSOLUTELY annoying as can be; they crawl backt here and either die or thrive... Not fun.
I used hot glue to seal it up and its been close to 3 months with no crickets getting back there.... Silicone is a pain in the butt to get off though. Sure...
That really sucks man. On a more positive note, the cage looks awesome!
I think that you should really be wary of that store. Sounds like some shady buisness... No respect, just trying to make a few quick bucks. Ask why they sold the chameleon. I'm curious for their response, it should really...
I would consider my local vet VERY herp savy, but he couldn't help 2 of my panthers, which resulted in their deaths. He said it was parasites; not specific at all and just diagnosed some medicine for it. Medicine got rid of the parasites but ruined their appitite and dehydrated them...
Is there a divider between the cages? That could be causing some stress for them... Also, maybe try some real plants....
Looks great though! Good luck.
Thanks all for the tips.
I know Rudis Chameleons are heat sensitive, which in my case is a HUGE problem. I just wanted to know if anyone had any cooling tips for them... If not thats fine, I had none either! LOL
I have given pygmies a thought, I really like there spunk and how they piddle...
Darn the oustallets might not work out well then.... I'm not good with bugs; keeping them alive or escaping.
Carpet eh? Heard that they are often full of parasites... Any tips to where I could order some CH or CB?
Jeweledchameleons, I didn't mean a chameleon with crests, horns, or other...
Hmmmm. I was never looking for a bold colored chameleon. Chameleons weird body shape is interesting enough for me....
Dang, big eaters? Might be a wee problem. Thats why I was leaning towards a smaller cham. I have never been able to keep larger crickets alive well. Always get too messy or...
Thanks for the tip to oustallets. Nearly slipped my mind! Anyone got any personal experience with them?
Side note: I'm not new to chameleons. I have bred panther chameleons for a few years. I had to take a break due to moving houses. Now, I got some time and really want to get back to my...
Hey guys,
I'm living in hot sunny, Southern California and looking for Mr. Right, the chameleon that is, for a possible year round enclosure. First, a summary of the season temps...
Summers are HOT! Gets up to 100 degrees at the climax. In the shade, maybe 80ish. Night in the summer are...
Im going to side with Will on this one, even though im a teen myself. I have had chameleons around me since I was about 10 years old, BUT they were not my chameleons. It was a relationship that my dad and I shared. He did alot of the dirty work, I just fed them and watched them. He also made...
