Actually, the dam’s sire is the father of that female. Think of dam as mom and sire as dad. So if you are seeing pics of a chameleon’s lineage the sire would be the father and the dam’s sire would be the maternal grandfather.

You’re going to want a 24” fixture for your cage, 12” fixtures honestly aren’t even recommended for the smaller cages because they don’t penetrate as deeply. Get a 10% or 12% bulb for it. You’re cham will be much better off :)

Have you had a full husbandry review? It seems to me that keeping your feeders hydrated helps. How do you know she did not drink? Many will not drink in front of us. Just some food for thought.
