US Looking for a new home for Veiled Chameleon [CLOSED]

Hello! I am in the process of an unexpected move, and will not be able to bring all of my beautiful chameleon friends with me. This being the case, I am looking for a new home with a caring care taker for one of my chameleons. I will be giving him to whoever is fit with his enclosure free of...

    Anoles and Chameleons?

The enclosure is a dragonstrand XL designed for an adult male Chameleon. I spent a good amount of time using the shelves to construct as design that caters to my boy’s every need. He’s constantly supplied with various sources of food- crickets, plants, usually some fruit, and sometimes worms of...

    Anoles and Chameleons?

So I have recently purchased a male, adult green anole from a rescue center. I was thinking about keeping him with my boy Majic- a male juvenile/adult veiled. The anole is much too big for him to eat, and I feel like it would not interest him since he's constantly provided with multiple other...

How can i get my Veiled Cham to eat fruits and/or veggies

Comment by 'K_Wolf' in 'Average Cost of Owning a Chameleon'

Great job. I would highly suggest this forum to anyone interested in owning a chameleon. Although, this is probably at almost the minimum- I'd say I've spent up to $1200 on enclosures (baby and adult combined) plus the plants and mistking.

How can i get my Veiled Cham to eat fruits and/or veggies

Just leave a live (safe) plant in their enclosure with easy access. My veileds have tended to love jade plants, and take bites out of them every now and then! Watermelon and strawberries also work great, try holding a tiny bite right against their mouth to get them to try it. Usually they will...

    Male or female ?

Im not super familiar with the species, but considering I see signs of horns usually only males have them so I vote male.

    Nursing Dehydration

One of the most common causes of fatalities among household chameleons is dehydration. When you notice these signs: Sunken in eyes Thinning of legs Weakness "Line" on tail It most likely provokes a lot of fear and panic. You search everywhere to find out the best way to fix things, but here I'm...
