Still trying to find mt meru Jackson

Backwater reptile. Check their website. My husband ordered me a juvenile Jackson from them, they have locations in CA and Florida, were able to overnight our little guy. He came very healthy and friendly. We previously had a veiled chameleon and wanted to try another. On their website they have...

    Abnormal behavior

Just thought I’d follow through with an update. Yoda has passed. Took him to the vet soon after posting and she recommended supportive care by force feeding and dropper for water and vitamins added in. He possibly suffered an injury from falling causing him to be lethargic from pain. Not sure...

    Abnormal behavior

I haven’t been giving the supplement with D3, but I’d like to add a multivitamin and some variety to his diet if I can get him to eat

    Feeder cup

I have a mesh enclosure and found that plastic bird seed feeder cups are great to hang anywhere you like! I have mind right below the basking branch so Yoda can see when there’s a meal waiting. Easy to clean and move around.

    Abnormal behavior

I was using the calcium powder with D3 until I read about overdose symptoms awhile back. I do feed his super worms and crickets gutload supplement and flukers orange blocks. I’d like to try a multivitamin if I knew a good brand to add. Part of the problem is that Yoda hasn’t seemed interested in...

    Abnormal behavior

Hello! I have a 3 year old male veiled chameleon, named Yoda, with some progressing new behaviors. I have a large mesh zoo med enclosure sitting on a window bench in my living room, consistent heat and humidity for the last 3 years, and a hurricane mister on a timer. Natural light as well as...

    Open mouth

When he was doing it, it did tend to happen after eating, my first thought was "OMG it's stuck" , but then he'd stop and go about his business. I was so worried at first that maybe it was something I was overlooking, like open mouth being a sign of distress like a cat open mouth breathing is a...

    Open mouth

Kristen - yes I'll adjust his temp the slightest bit to see if there is a difference. No signs of abnormalities to his mouth, took him out for some socialization (aka sitting on a house plant in the living room) and got a good look, haven't seen him do it since I posted as well.

    Open mouth

Kristen- he's about two and 1/2 weeks out from his last shed. But I'll keep and eye out for peeling Reckon- I hope that's what he's doing, would make me feel better lol. I just want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything that could be a sign for something more serious

    Variety

My young veiled Cham (Yoda) loves his crickets, and I use vitamin and calcium supplement as recommended , but Ifeel like he needs variety. Tried meal worms (he does not care for them at all), I introduced them in a bowl hanging in his cage, even put a cricket in it to get his attention, he ate...

    First shed worries

When we got him he was just about the length of my finger including tail. Now he's about twice the length. I wasn't sure when they have their first shed, but he is doing great now, no longer dark/moody and his activity around his cage is back to normal. (The picture of his habitat isn't the best...
