Hello all, these are my new additions! *FUNNY STORY*... I went into petco to get a few things for my dogs and as always strolled by the reptile "section". They had these two panthers there and only for $149.99 a piece! One of the employees saw me and ended up telling me that all of their...
Hello all, I recently got two adult panthers and have some concerns about the female. She has had one of her eyes closed for at least about 9 days. It was like that when I purchased her and the guy said that she might be cleaning her eye...He had over 20 chams so i just assumed he was a good guy...
I am considering buying this pair of mitsio's. I just wanted some input if you guys think these are legit. I'm pretty confident about the male, but I didn't know females could be that greenish blue color. Let me know what you think.
Hello all, I am interested in possibly breeding my first panther chameleon in the near future. I was thinking maybe it would be possible to just have my male breed with someone else's female? If anyone has any interest or thoughts on this please let me know. If people were interested would it be...
While this isn't his first shed, it is his first one under my care. He started last night and still has a little bit to go. I think this means he is growing which makes me happy because that means he is healthy:).I think he is about 5 months old so when do you think he would start his next shed...
Cash used to eat crickets from my hand...but now for some reason he hasn't been. Should I just keep trying every day and maybe eventually he will give in? Or is it possible that he will still become "tame" if I don't hand feed him?
I'm pretty sure my young panther loves this fake plant I have. I usually put him on it when I take him out of the cage, so I think he LOVES it haha. I'm pretty sure I caught him staring at it earlier today and then I opened the cage to where he could crawl on it and then shortly after...there he...
why does it matter that we use organic soil? I just bought a new plant for my cage that I'm building and am wondering if I HAVE to get new organic soil for it? Would the plants themselves be toxic? I'm not sure if he will eat the leaves of the plant or not. Anyway just let me know.
Thank you
starting to think "he" may be a she... I posted before and a few people believed that this was a male. "He" definitely shows some nice colors occasionally, but I'm not sure about it.
Notice the "ball"/ little hump right between the base of the tail and the back leg. Anyway let me know what...

how could I build an aluminum cage? do they sell the pieces so that I could make a frame out of it. I essentially want one very similar to a reptibreeze cage but would like my own dimensions. let me know what you have in mind. thanks!
I have had my young male panther for close to two weeks now; he came from a local pet store. I had been "chasing him around the cage with my hand until he climbed on it for an escape to get him out of the cage. I realize now that this is probably working backwards with him, even though it kind...
I just recently bought a temperature gauge after having my chameleon for a week with a 100 watt heat bulb. After installing it today I found out that my highest basking spot was at 120 degrees!!! After I made some adjustments it went to around 100 degrees. Is this OK or should I make it a little...
This morning as I was feeding my chameleon, I noticed that he had a bubble in his mouth. I'm not sure if this is a problem or not. It looked just like he blew a bubble with saliva. So if anybody knows anything about that I'd love to know asap!!Sorry if this is actually not a problem haha.
I keep seeing sticks wedged in between corners of enclosures and am wondering where people are getting them? Are they from a store or are they from outside on the ground? haha. or would it be possible to get them from outside and maybe bake them in the oven to kill bacteria?
hey everyone i just bought my first panther chameleon about a week ago now and was wondering if i could have some help ID'ing it. I know nothing about it haha. If you could, I'd like to know whether it's a male or female, approximate age, and locale. So, if you think you know any of that...
