Can veiled chameleon ever get used to you?

study his habits. my 6 month veiled will go to the back of the cage if he doesn't wanna be bothered. if he's in the front on a branch its easier to coax him into handling.every time I've handled him its been when he's out and about, not perched under his basking light. from what I've absorbed...

Worried - Can you please post some pics?

how big is your enclosure? i raised my veiled from 4 weeks old and now he is 6 months. only in the last few weeks has he been cruising in the lower part of the cage. nothing else is strange but I'm upgrading the size this week. seems to me like he's bored and claustrophobic haha

where exactly is the temperature reading you're referencing? is it in the middle of a forest where obviously the humidity is higher? or is it from the top of a weather building where the general humidity is out in the open?

    Hand feeding?

I started hand feeding by first using a dubia roads on a kabob skewer. First I would use the skewer to place the roast on a branch in the middle of the cage. When he was towards the front I'd offer it to him a good body length away and wait until he came close. Eventually he got so excited he...

    Quick Basking question

I have a high output t5 UVB and a 6500k grow light so it's still pretty light. Opening the window with the light off is at 81. Window closed and the basking spot went to 87-90. All during fall the basking temp stayed at 82-85

    Quick Basking question

It's been pretty hot in my house lately and my veileds ambient temp is around 80-82 I know a basking temp for a 3-4 month old should be around that so can I just keep his basking light off during mid day when it's hot?
