hi so i just got a baby cham, he looks like he is about 6 to 8 weeks. he is pretty tiny i will try to attach some pics. i just got him on april 6 from the reptile expo. so at first he was pooping until yesterday but when pooped it was always hard and stuck on his butt. he moves a lot around his cage but now he is starting to close his eyes all the time and just stay in one place for a period of time, moves and closes his eyes etc.. so he is in an exo terra 18x18x18 his temps are in the 80-85s his basking high 90's. i mist his tank 3 times a day and today i am putting a dripper. he will turn dark when he is high up on the plant im guessing basking and when he moves away he is bright green. at night time the temps are around 70's in my room and he will turn bright green. He has a cup of mini phoenix worms inside his cage and i drop 5 crickets a day but he has only eaten 3 or 4 since he came i am guessing is normal because he is still stress, just like what happen with my beardie. I took him out today to take a look at him and he seems a little weak, i pinched his skin and he looked like he was dehydrated so i soaked him for 5 min with warm water. he turned bright green after i soaked him and now i just put him back into his tank. should i be concern?:(

this are the pics of my iggy.

He definitely looks dehydrated. See how his eyes are sunken in? That's the number one sign.

How humid is the enclosure staying? How long are you misting for? Do you ever see him drink? They will lick water droplets off of leaves or even the glass.

A dripper will help stimulate him to drink.

I would start by giving him a nice longer shower. Place something in the shower that he can hang on and have the water hit the wall and splash onto him. Don't have it directly spray on him. He should start to drink at some point and will most likely drink for awhile as he looks dehydrated. Give this a shot and let him drink as much as he wants to.

Also, I can't really tell from the picture, but do you have a uvb bulb in there too? They need that to be able to synthesize calcium or they will get metabolic bone disease. You should also be dusting your crickets with a reptile calcium supplement. See here for how to do it (scroll down to supplementation).

Doing this will be good! Just be careful with the temperature of the water. You don't want it to be cold, but not too hot either.

Your temps are too high for the lil guy. Mid to upper 70's ambient and high 80's for basking spot until he gets his big boy colors.

okay i will definitely change his bulb now. Of course i have a 5.0 uvb light, i gave soaked him just about an 1 hour ago should i try again? Thank you so muvh for all your responses !
