Hey all, I have 11 adolescents that I need to get rid of. They're 5-6 months old, mixed sexes- 1/2 BB Ambilobe and 1/2 Nosy Be. Males are showing lots of blue. Prices are negotiable. I'm not supposed to mention any of the sponsors, but lets just say that they are from the direct blood lines...

    Sorting Worms from Wheat Bran

Does anyone have a non-time consuming method for sorting either larger mealworms or small superworms from wheat bran? Pulling them out one at a time with tongs is wrecking my schedule. Oh yeah - and a screen sieve doesn't work BTW. -Thanks-

    Feeding Baby Stick Insects

I'm having issues. I have thousands of indian stick eggs and they've been hatching consistantly over the past month. I feed my adult sticks roses. I've notices that some of the babies are shedding and growing, but a good portion of them are dying. I take the top of the roses so that there...

    Dubia's Can Fly!!!!

No joke. This just happened. All the lights were off, I heard something flying across my house, and "BAMMM!!!", a big male dubia smacks into my computer screen. He flew about 3-4 ft above the floor across my house about 30 ft. I've read many arguments from people saying they can't fly. I just...

    Parasite preventive treatment

Hey all, if you read my thread earlier you'll know that I've been to the vet today. One of my breeding females suddenly died (or is dying now). I don't have an explanation for it. I'm wondering if there's a chance it was due to some kind of parasite. Before I ask this question, I'd like to...

    Help! She's Dying!

I have a 1.5 yr old female Nosy Be. She's laid 3 clutches of eggs and is due to lay her 4th. The last 2 days she has been deteriorating fast. All of her feeding, watering, housing, lighting, supplementation, etc. is appropriate - I'm a very experienced chameleon keeper, but I have never seen...

    Wanna know what's funny, lol?

Going to Petco and listening to the Petco employee tell someone who is purchasing a chameleon, "You can't feed chameleons meal worms because they will bore through the stomach of the chameleon and kill them." And the funnest thing to do is to argue with the Petco guy to try and convince him...

    Feeding Superworms Cheaply!

Hey all, I'm sure many of you out there keep a superworm colony. As you well know, they eat a ton. The most common food for them is Oats and Wheat Bran. I got tired of paying ~$5/lb for Wheat Bran at the grocery store, so I found a solution: They sell wheat bran in 40 lb sacks at most...

    Interesting water pH observation

I've had several posts on here about trying to battle my issue of having a brown thumb. I have found that I'm an expert at making bugs thrive, and am successful in breeding and raising healthy panther cham's, but no matter what I've done, I just can't make plants thrive. Getting them to survive...

    Plant Overwatering - Solution!

Hello all, I've seen many posts over the last couple years of people trying to find a solution to over watering plants with their misting systems. I believe I've finally found the solution! This past summer, I built my finest vivarium, and designed the soil mixture and draining system to...

Dubia Roaches - And your wife!

I always find this subject so humorous - Convincing your wife/husband to let you keep roaches in the house. This thread is to hear everyones funny stories, so lets hear them! Here's mine: I kept them in the garage until it got cold. Then I brought them in the house and when my wife came home...

    Live Vines

Does anyone know of a twining vine species that will thrive in a vivarium? I've tried Thunbergia Alata (Black eyed susan vines), they just die. Pothos is the only thing that seems to live. I've also done my homework. I have a well drained soil, I'm not overwatering, I have appropriate grow...
