Need thoughts on this area for an enclosure

Seems to me that you could do something amazing with this area. Curved mesh doors that open right out, Large plants for your cham to climb on. I would also look at drilling through and running a pipe straight outside........it's better to ask forgiveness than permission :) I wish I had...

    Mister Filtering Idea

I have mine in-line, runs from my cold water, through the wall to this filter, then from the filter into my reservoir. Then reservoir to pump. The reservoir has a toilet cistern fitting so it stays full automatically and an aquarium heater in it to warm the water. I swap the canister every...

    Mister Filtering Idea

Do you mean in-line as in between your reservoir and your pump? If so something like the one I linked earlier would work perfectly, the pipes it's supplied with, and therefore all fittings on it are 1/4" so fit the mister pipes, and it's an activated carbon filter, as well as a few other filter...

    calling glass terranium owners

Despite appearances I'd class mine as a glass viv, its fully lined with glass and just the outside is wood. It ticks all the boxes, good airflow, good humidity, well insulated, no damp problems around it, easy maintenance, happy cham :) Dave

    Mister Filtering Idea

I use a simple kitchen drinking water filter, this one http://www.pozzani.co.uk/water-filters-29/product_info.html?osCsid=vbp7rtguv2aukpshmqbjpj6l63 I don't seem to get any build up in my tubes or nozzles, and have used it for the past 12 months+ Dave

    MistKing questions

Starter system using 7 nozzles, four of which are 6 foot above the pump, one is 10 foot away from it and the other tow are in a different room, 20 foot from the pump and 5 foot higher. No loss of pressure, timer works great, with the inclusion of an in line water filter and a toilet cistern...

    Free the pothos?

May just be a transition period. I free'd my lipstick plant, it didn't seem too happy for a while, then went nuts :) Took a few weeks though, and a few of the stems still aren't exactly leaping to life, but most are good. Is pothos definitely an epiphyte though, i've never heard that before...

    background images?

I use an online poster printing company and order waterproof posters. They can do them in custom sizes and don't work out being too expensive. Heres one in situ [/IMG] Dave

building a new home for veiled cham... ideas??

I use a bioactive substrate with a carpet of native (native to the UK that is) moss over it. Practically zero cleaning, and as it's over a drainage layer no drainage problems, plus can plant straight into it. Much easier to go with the other ideas as posted above though :)

    My Cham viv

Yes, I used glass. I tried with perspex but finding a flexible adhesive that adheres to perspex is impossible :( Over here we use a product called gorrilla glue to attatch the eco earth to the foam, it's a lot easier to use than silicone. If it's available in the states you may want to look...
