welcome
welcome to the forum, ive got a veilled and would recomend one as a starter cham as they r a bit more forgivin & hardier than others, sayin that, u still need to take care , as for stable food i feed mine on locusts as crickets can bite your cham when hes sleepin so if u use them...
workin out in the north sea, 1week left till i get home & see elmo, good thing is he gets spoilled rotten while im away by my daughters, dont half notice the size he grows when im home.
humidity
hello pal , my humidity is at between(55-65)hes 10months old &i havent had any problems with him. as long as you water your plants & keep him well misted he will b fine, dont forget to let your viv fully dry between misting ,so dont mist just before lights out.
9months
hes 9months old, hes all done now, but it just took for ages, made sure he was well hydrated & well misted. his food intake went up so he was eatin more, poor guy must ov been really pissed.
cant believe elmo has took 10 days to shed, hes been eatin really well&drinkin, well misted but it still took so long, but he has been abit grumpy even my kids said he hasnt wanted to come out his viv since he started his shed , just wonderin if this is normal.
elmo ate no food yesterday, so i got him some smaller locusts as others seemed to scare him a bit (large). soon as i put my hand in, he took 1 off my fingers for the first time. tried again all together now hes had 6 fed by hand. so im so made up with him i will have to now go get him a treat .
will have one
next year i will defo be havin one ov his babies if they will turn out anythin like him, because ov his colours does this mean his babies turn out with colours like him. i keep showin his pics to everyone, they think its not real because ov his stunning colours.
envy
me too, my elmo seems a bit weiry since i put him in his new bigger viv on friday, hopefully hes just gettin used to it, now hes got loads off places to hide he doesnt wont to come out as much.

wooden viv
hello mate ,both my heat bulb & uvb bulbs r inside my wooden viv, i have bulb cages around them so my veilled cant get burned, with regular misting and the right temps your humidity will go up, but you dont need to get your humidity to high. im also using a 100 watt spotlight bulb...
got elmo in his new viv & he loves it, loads ov foliage & cane for him to explore, but have noticed he doesnt want to come out as much and started puffin up when i put my hand in see if he wants to come out, its like hes teritorial ov his new home, once hes out hes so friendly. does this seem...
viv
its a wood viv with wooden top so the compact bulb is actually screwed in to the top so theres only the bulb showin but just dont want him to touch it, dont think a cage round it will block out too much uv, just want some peoples views. will post some pics tomorrow.
good job mate
love it, just showed the wife & said i want one ,her reply was go f*** myself theres no chance. sayin that 2hrs ago was the 1st time she built up enough courage to hold elmo, so maybe with time. good job mate it looks cool
hello everyone, just moved elmo into his new viv i built, man he loves it exploring all his climbing branches& vines, only problem is his exo-terra repti glow 10 gets really warm so i was wondering is it ok to put a heat guard round it or will it block out too much ov the uv, im just worried he...
