uvb,heat cage

hello everyone, just moved elmo into his new viv i built, man he loves it exploring all his climbing branches& vines, only problem is his exo-terra repti glow 10 gets really warm so i was wondering is it ok to put a heat guard round it or will it block out too much ov the uv, im just worried he might touch it and get burned as he climbes over his heat cover but hes got a guard on that one so hes fine on that.

Not too sure about this one mate, maybe get it hanging from the ceiling so its hovvering over the top of the cage? So then he cant actually get right underneath it, by the way u need to post some pics of elmo! And his new viv would be nice to see him

its a wood viv with wooden top so the compact bulb is actually screwed in to the top so theres only the bulb showin but just dont want him to touch it, dont think a cage round it will block out too much uv, just want some peoples views. will post some pics tomorrow.
