I'm having a problem and I'm not sure if its me or the eggs. They have been incubating for 8 months, half of them started sweating, then they sunk in but I have no noticed any pipping or any of them trying to get out? could it be possible that they are all stillborn?
yes you can move them. once the embryos start to form is when you cant move the eggs. the first couple days the eggs are just eggs nothing really going on at all. in the wild they stay dormant for 3 months after being laid. in an incubator you can skip that process by temps. but anyways yes move...
my female has laid 5 clutches spread over 6-7 weeks after her first clutch. all have been fertile. i have changed her eating habits and temps to hopefully preventing anymore retained sperm clutches
hey guys. Lily's first clutch are finally started to sweat. its been its be about 7 months since she laid. I am just posting this for any tips on caring for the neonates. Any input would be great from temps to humidity. I have a couple tanks ready for the babies already, and many larger cages as...
hey guess. been 6 months since lily's first clutch and 4.5 since her third. I have candled them and some show red veins and others look clear, yet all 90 eggs look white, healthy, have no mold. I know it can take a year for them to hatch but what are some signs that they are going to or at least...
Hey guys. I am looking to sell some of my babies when they hatch. I currently have 90 eggs incubating from 3 clutches. The Sire is a beautiful Blue Barred Ambilobe and the mother is unknown was a gift, she does have purple specling tho. The first clutch is 3.5 months old, second is 2 and the...
JUST an UPDATE
Lily's first clutch is all doing well, they are 6 weeks old now. She recently laid another clutch of 33 on march 10. so now we have 61 eggs in total. Just wondering from everyone else about neonate care, what is the best for feeding, misting, temps, ect?
hey guys. i have no idea whats going on with my male panther chameleons eyes. for the last week he keeps bulging them and tries scratching them on his vines. I have tried many showers and doesnt seem to work, any suggestions?
UPDATE:
Lily's first clutch of 28 are a month and half now and all...
how long ago did you let her mate? depending on time and gestation could be why she is acting like that. also do you have an egg laying bin in her cage? you should definately do that ASAP for she will lay a clutch whether it be fertile or not. 10" inch diamter 12"inch deep garbage can works well...
so you have now have an egg laying bin, thats great. what do you plan on using in the egg laying bin? i would recommend using washed played sand moistened to like you would be building a sand castle. Dig a tunnel and see if it holds, you could also leave a tunnel in there, she may or may not use...
I seen my female at the top of her cage this afternoon. So i decided i would start digging and what would you know? 28 eggs! I attached a picture. I have placed them in tupperware containers, 1 inch apart, half buried. i used vermiculite and so when i squeezed it a couple drop came out. I have...
