distilled water screws up osmosis (i think) . It has nothing in it, just like deionized water, it is too pure. Do your cham and yourself a favor and buy an ro system, you can get them on ebay for under 100 bucks now. You would be surprised at the allowable levels of contaminants and metals in...
not sure if it is something that would be possible for you but you might try to look into getting an exhaust fan for the room. With high humidity my biggest concern would be mold. Fresh air, good circulation, and frequent cleaning is key when the humidity is high.
maybe you should look into a montane species where it is desirable to have high humidity. Some are used to it being in the 80-100s at night. If you have good air circulation and dont let the air get stagnant it should help, but I too think it could lead to a respiratory infection in species...
they have them at gibralter every once in a while, couldnt say when the next once is, i have also been keeping my eye out for others, but the grand rapids show is the only other one I have found and that is just a little too far for me.
Thanks guys, I was pretty sure that was what I had (i had based my guess on that article from chameleon news) that article is the only useful info I could find on the peacocks, I must have read it a hundred times since I got this guy. Any idea where I could find some more good info? My...

Has anybody had a chameleon shipped in the cold? I am thinking of buying a jackson's from an online dealer and he said he wont gaurantee the animal. I will definitely not let him ship it until after the holidays, but it is about 35 dgrees here and I am not sure if a couple heat packs will...
yeah that was th efirst place I looked, unfortunately it says they are all sold. Thanks for the thought though. It looks like the last round of imports have sold from everywhere I have looked, gonna have to wait until the next import or find a captive bread...anybody know if anybody here is...
There is something about them that draws me to them, i have decided that i am going to house a jacksonii jacksonii, if I can find one, they seem to be the most interesting of the jacksons. If anyone knows where I can find one I would like to try to get a male soon...
If you feel like you could part with your babies i would love to give a male a great home. They are so cute when they are small I can understand your hesitation to part with them.I was also looking into panthers, but the jackson is the one for me.
I thought I would share some pics of my Weidersheimi. He is super mellow and shy. I have been keeping him for over a year now. My brother actually just came home with him one as an impulse buy, the pet store told him he was easy to take care of...after i read the little info I could find I...
okay here it goes, my brother came home with a chameleon a couple days ago and he is not exactly aware of the care that these animals require. I had a veiled for about a year before I moved to school and had to give him away before I left and I have taken it upon myself to ensure this little...
