What is the right amount to feed?

I have a 5 month old veiled who is eating about 10-13 3/4" crickets a day. I also have a 4 month old panther that is eating about 20 a day and always looking for more. This seems to be a lot to me, but the fact that they are juveniles is why I feed that much. I also occasionally feed some...

    Galvanized wire

I am making plans now to build an outdoor enclosure as soon as spring arrives. I was thinking of using 1/4" galvanized diamond mesh instead of standard aluminum screening. I feel this will allow more sun in and still keep larger crickets in the enclosure. Will the galvanized mesh be harmful to...

    Too much D3

I have been reading posts here about not using supplements with D3 too much. What are the issues with that? Without knowing any better I have been using it for the past few years on leopard geckos and anoles at every feeding with no apparent side effects. The animals seem healthy as can be.

    orange spot on mouth?

My baby veiled has this orange spot that is a little bigger than a pinhead on the lip of his lower jaw. At first I thought it was a blood spot from a cricket bite. It's been there going on 2 weeks now. He seems healthy otherwise acting normal and eating like a pig. Any ideas?

    Newbie, a couple of questions

A few questions regarding my baby veiled. I seem to be having a hard time keeping the humidity up. I live in N.J. and being in an all screen enclosure doesn't help. Any suggestions besides running a humidifier? I'm not sure if I am using the right supplement to dust my crickets with. Right...

    New cham question

Hello everybody, new to the board and my first of probably many questions. I just picked up a baby veiled at the White Plains, N.Y. show for $30. I was told he was captive bred but am beginning to wonder because the price seems pretty low. Any thoughts? He seems to be eating well.Thanks.
