Hello I just bought a pair jacksons chameleon and I would like to know about how old are they male is about 5-6" female is about 7 inches and purchased from lllreptiles :).

so is it really important to put another female with the male or is it fine as a 1.1 though iam worried about stressing out the female but i do know the cage is huge for them but of course more space the better right?

Well i was asking to see if it was alright that does not mean i wont spray the cage 2-4 times a day which really isn't a problem for me to do and add a dripper i was just asking to see if i could shower just to see if it was ok as a "treat" i suppose i could call it like that but not necessarily...

weekly showers wouldnt be so bad for these guys right once a week? make a perch in the shower so they can get soaked with water?

well that isnt really a problem for me since i already have the equipment for the chameleon to build his cage. What worry's me is the state the chameleon is in since it is WC but i would not worry to much as i already have a vet for reptiles which would not be as a big problem but just worried...

i see so a 2ft would not be enough so a 4ft in space would be best for a single adult meller's i suppose?

i was thinking of keeping a small mellers in a 24x24x48 and then up grade it to a 6 foot tall cage

well right now looks like they are selling now i did check about 2 days ago that they were sold out but now they are selling again

anybody know if backwaterReptiles are a reliable source? Because.. they are selling mellers atm for 149 and i think they are wc obviously for the price but small not large any ideas?

i was thinking of buying a 24x24x48 when hes young then get a 4x4x6 cage once it gets bigger as for water i was thinking of using a mist king i have plus a dripper and spraying the cage i think it would be pretty good for hydration.
