I guess I have an idea of how much to dust crickets and smaller worms with calcium. I have even seen a chart around here that shows the Ca:P ratios for some of these guys.
What about hornworms that are a couple inches or bigger? I don't have any sort of idea what the ratio might be, nor how...
Ok, I admit it. I made the thread title scientifically fancy purely for kicks haha.
Seriously though...this is what I noticed and I think it is very amazing...
My Kinyongia was dehydrated some time ago (my fault, yikes). His eyes were sunken in a bit of course. As soon as I misted him and he...
Lets say I have 1000 crickets and I want to gutload them of course. However, before I do this, is it best to have my main stock of crickets be starving? I want the 1000 crickets to stay alive as long as possible(one month or longer if possible)...
So do i throw in egg cartons and water cubes...
I have a three month old veiled from Newton's bloodline. The picture on the website sure looks nice, but I was wondering if anybody here could post pictures of one displaying its colors. I'm curious to see the variations.
Simple idea. Select veggies or fruits that you would normally use in your juicer which are safe for gutloading. Drink the juice, and rather than throw away the pulp, use it for feeding crickets. The pulp retains plenty of moisture and nutrients so its just as good as the real thing. AFTERALL...
i started to breed crickets and kept the soil moist, but at a point it got pretty wet. I'm going to let it dry to a moist state, but will the eggs that are already laid get drowned?
Hi everyone. This is my second cham, a K. multituberculata which I got from forum member Seeco. Thank you Luis for offering me this cham, I appreciate your extensive knowledge of this precious species...and now a picture of my new companion Stevie-Ray, in honor of the late Stevie-Ray Vaughan.
I have some superworms that have been loading up on fluker farms cricket gutloader. Is it ok if they remain in the cup, gutloading off this stuff for several days? Is it possible for the food to be "too nutritious". Any problems here?
^noob by the way
I just got my veiled chameleon on Thursday and my world has transformed...if you are new to the world like me, or even if you had your cham for a while, this thread is for sharing your AOL instant messenger screename or Facebook.
i got a cham from FL chams today. A veiled from newton's bloodline. he would keep running away from me or getting scared around noon.
Now get this...tonight he crawls on my hand, crawls up my arm, sleeps in my hair, hangs onto my ear, gets two inches close to my dog and stays perfectly bright...
I just ordered the Screameleons start kit and I want to get a chameleon. My question is, does it make a difference if I get an Ambanja or Ambilobe with it as my FIRST chameleon? I will take all the steps I can to take care of him, but I wanted to know if there is good reason to get one over the...
I read a previous thread about people keeping their chams outside in Southern California, but I was a bit skeptical. I can see the beach from my house, a 20 minute drive...so there is some humidity. Overall, how do you maintain humidity and heat? Do I get a misting machine? How about in the...
