For anyone that may stumble across this post five years later... I used a minimal strength Cortisone cream on my buddy applied twice daily via q-tip. The vet I took him to suggested this under the pretense that this was a fungal infection.
I figured it was probably a fungal infection. I just don't see how. His cage dries out between mistings, I am positive. I'll take him to the vet and see what they say. Unless there are any other suggestions?
Any ideas on what this spot may be? I've never seen it before. I plan on taking him (Muhammad) to the vet this week to get it checked, but it's always nice to see what others think.

He is actually drinking right now as I type this. I thought the same thing about his urates. I cleaned his cage just now so I can easily see what is going on with his digestion.
Hey, my Veiled of about 1.5 yrs has been running around its cage for a while now; about two weeks. He was eating healthily for the two weeks until about three days ago when he stopped. Now the only thing he seems interested in when I open the cage door is trying to escape. He literally will grab...
I suppose I can buy him then with no qualms. Like I said before I am gonna take him to the vet as soon as I get him for a fecal exam among other things. Thanks for your input,

P.s I'll post pics of the sire later tonight when the transaction is finished. He is amazing.
Well I don't really have pictures of his current cage. I can tell you I take very good care of my animals so once he gets to me his condition will only get better. I jut finished nursing an adopted 1 yr old veiled back from MBD and an eye infection so I don't really want another sick cham. I'll...
Hey, I was looking into getting a new Cham and this one was offered at a nice price. Can you guys tell me if there is anything wrong with him from these pics?

I second this motion. I bought my sticks at Home Depot. They were like $2.00 for about sixteen little green sticks about two in. long. Stick them in the ground with your finger and then water regularly. I never checked to see if they contaminate the plant though, but my veiled doesnt eat my...
Thanks for all the info, and I do know the rule of thumb, I just don't know the size of the roaches. I'm asking because I just ordered a shipment of dubias and am looking into a getting another cham. It does however need to fit into a 36x20x20 cage at adult size though, or else I would just get...
Hey, I was wondering if I could feed the Dubais to a pygmy chameleon. I haven't bought either yet so i cant judge the size so lets assume its a newborn pygmy we are feeding. Thanks.
I threw in a big old shefflera in my veiled's cage, and the plant grows like a monster. Other than that I just threw in a bunch of artificial vines. I didn't and won't need any silk plants in there.
