Fertilizer sticks

ive used them for a while.. i just push them down in the dirt as far as possible. and i have a mesh screen on top of the dirt cause my veiled likes to eat dirt..
my umbrella trees stay green all year round with little to no problems..

i dont know of any effects of the fertilizer contaminating the leaves in any way..
maybe some of the more experienced keepers know ..

I second this motion. I bought my sticks at Home Depot. They were like $2.00 for about sixteen little green sticks about two in. long. Stick them in the ground with your finger and then water regularly. I never checked to see if they contaminate the plant though, but my veiled doesnt eat my schefflera.
